Indoor Easter Games for Kids

You don't need a sunny day or a big backyard to play these fun Easter games for kids. Gather the family around the kitchen table and start playing.

Pin the Tail on the Bunny

This Easter game for kids is just like the classic pin the tail on the donkey, except you'll use cotton balls with tape on them rather than a donkey tail.

Egg Bowling

This traditional Easter game for kids calls for one dyed hard-boiled egg per child and one white hard-boiled egg. Roll the white one into the center of a room and take turns to see who can roll their colored egg closest to the white egg.

Bunny Count

All players sit in a circle and take turns counting off numbers one by one. When the number 7 is reached, that player must say, "I love the Easter Bunny," instead of saying the number 7. When a player fails to do so and says "7," that player is out of the game. Start over at 1 after 7 or "I love the Easter Bunny" is said. The game continues until only one player is left to be declared the winner.

Easter Egg Memory

Use colored plastic eggs and place each half over pairs of items; try small things like coins and candy. Take turns flipping them one at a time, and see who can match up the most pairs.

Play hot potato with a hard-boiled egg. This free Easter game for kids is easy enough for every family member to play.

Duck Races

Players line up on a start line. At the signal, they all bend over and grasp their ankles. The first one to waddle to the finish line without letting go of their ankles is the winner!

Easter Bunny Tag

Everyone knows how to play tag, so this easy Easter game is fun for the whole family. This game is played in the same fashion except everyone must hop. If you don't hop, then you are automatically "it."

Bunny, Bunny Hop

This game is like duck, duck goose with a hop. Change the words to bunny as you tap each child and hop when one child is selected. Instead of running around the circle, players hop with their feet together.

Golden Easter Egg

This easter game for kids is even more exciting than a regular egg hunt. Hide a gold Easter egg with a dollar in it. Put plenty of eggs in plain view if you have younger ones to keep their interest. Finding the golden egg is a delight.

Egg Toss

This Easter game for kids is played in pairs. Each pair faces each other at a starting line and is given one egg. The person with the egg tosses it to the person without it. With each toss, each person takes a large step backward. This continues until they reach an end mark and return to the starting line with an unbroken egg. If a team doesn't successfully complete their toss and the egg breaks, they're out of the game.

Egg Hunt for Little Ones

Use plastic Easter eggs, and let the younger ones find as many as they can. No matter how many eggs they find, everyone gets the same prize.

Egg Rolling

Take a hard-boiled egg for each person along with a hockey stick or bat. Each person stands at the starting line. The egg is placed on the ground and pushed along with a stick to the finish line. The hockey stick must stay below waist level, and the egg cannot crack or break. The first one to the finish line wins.
