Starting Monday, January 19, EBT recipients will only be able to earn $10 in +ADDMILK! rewards per day.

Q: Will EBT recipients still be able to use their rewards earned before January 19 toward any EBT eligible item?

A. No. Beginning January 19, all +ADDMILK! rewards, including unused or pending rewards earned before that date, may only be redeemed toward fresh produce and dairy products.

Q: If I purchase produce with their +ADDMILK! rewards, will this purchase be considered as part of my monthly $60 CalFresh Fruit & Vegetable Incentive benefits?

A. No, any fresh produce purchased with +ADDMILK! rewards will not be counted toward your monthly CalFresh Fruit & Vegetable incentive program benefits. The reason is that this purchase is made using the rewards you have earned, rather than through the EBT card.

Q: Is there any other changes to the program?

A. No other changes have been made. Customers will still be able to:

• Earn $1 in rewards for every $1 spent on nonfat, 1% low fat, and 1% lactose free milk
• Use rewards up to 60 days after the date they were earned

Q: What is Qualifying Milk?

A. Nonfat, 1%, and 1% lactose free without flavoring, of any size.

Q: Who is eligible for +ADDMILK! and where can it be earned/redeemed?

A. Any shopper that is currently receiving CalFresh EBT benefits. CalFresh EBT shoppers must purchase qualifying fluid milk using their CalFresh EBT benefits to receive an incentive equal to the value of qualifying fluid milk purchased.

Q. How do shoppers redeem +ADDMILK! incentive?

A. Shoppers can redeem their incentives on any additional transaction (can be the same day, but needs to be a separate transaction). They can choose from any fresh fruits and vegetables and/or dairy items to redeem their incentive.

Q. Where is +ADDMILK! available?

A. +ADDMILK! is available at all Mother’s Nutritional Center locations throughout Southern California. Once earned, incentives may be redeemed at any Mother’s Nutritional Center.

Q. What can shoppers buy with +ADDMILK! incentives?

Eligible products include CalFresh EBT eligible items such as:

• Fresh Fruit and Vegetables
• Dairy products*
  • Milk (all brands and types, including Altadena Whole milk 14oz, Nesquik chocolate 14oz and Nesquik strawberry 14oz milk)
  • Soy Milk
  • Canned Milk (all brands and types of evaporated milk, dry milk and EDD condensed milk 14oz)
  • Cheese (all brands and types)
  • Yogurt (all brands, types, and flavors)
  • Parfaits (all flavors)
  • Snack Pack Pudding 13oz
  • Please note: Baby formula is NOT considered an eligible dairy product.

*Availability and brands may vary by store.

*+ADDMILK! incentive-eligible items are subject to program updates.

Products that are NOT eligible to redeem are:

• Juice (Bottled and Frozen)
• Beans
• Peanut Butter
• Grains (including Oatmeal, Corn & Whole Wheat Tortillas, Rice, Pasta & Breads)
• Baby Food
• Dry Cereal and Hot Cereal
• Meat, poultry, and fish
  
• Other foods such as snack foods and non-alcoholic beverages
• Seeds and plants, which produce food for the household to eat
• Beer, wine, liquor, cigarettes, or tobacco
• Vitamins, medicines, and supplements. If an item has a Supplement Facts label, it is considered a supplement and is not eligible for CalFresh EBT purchase.
• Live animals (except shellfish, fish removed from water, and animals slaughtered prior to pick-up from the store)
• Foods that are hot at the point of sale
• Any nonfood items such as:
• Pet foods
• Cleaning supplies, paper products, and other household supplies.
• Hygiene items, cosmetics

Q. Is there a limit on the amount of +ADDMILK! incentives shoppers can redeem at one time?

A. There is no limit to the value of +ADDMILK! incentives that can be redeemed in a transaction.

Any additional unused incentive value will be stored on the stores POS system.

Q. Is there a limit on the amount of +ADDMILK! incentives shoppers can earn at one time?

A. Shoppers can earn a maximum of $10 rewards per day.

Q. Do +ADDMILK! rewards expire?

A. Rewards will expire 60 days from the date received.

Q. What if the +ADDMILK! rewards do not work?

Q. Why are +ADDMILK! incentives only available to shoppers using CalFresh EBT?

A. +ADDMILK! is a pilot program that is funded by the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA). According to the federal guidelines, it is only available to shoppers using CalFresh EBT.
